An Air Canada passenger on a flight from Toronto to Dubai opened the plane’s cabin door while the plane was on the ground, spilling out onto the tarmac and causing a lengthy delay.
In a statement, the airlines said the passenger had “boarded the aircraft normally” but headed directly for the cabin door instead of taking their seat.

The passenger fell out just before takeoff on Monday evening at Toronto’s Pearson airport. Peel Regional Police and Peel EMS responded to the incident.
