Starting from March 1, Air India launches a direct flight between Mumbai and Bhuj, responding to locals’ requests. Operating on an A320, the flight takes 1hr 15min each way and offers easy domestic and international connections.
Air India Announces Mumbai-Bhuj Daily Direct Flights From March 1
Mumbai: Air India is set to launch a direct flight connecting Mumbai and Bhuj starting from March 1. In response to the long-standing demand from residents, Air India aims to provide a convenient travel option between these two cities.
Operating on an A320 single-aisle aircraft, flight AI 601 will depart from Mumbai at 07:05 am and arrive in Bhuj at 08:20 am. The return flight, AI 602, is scheduled to leave Bhuj at 08:55 am and land in Mumbai at 10:10 am.
This new service will not only offer seamless international connections to destinations in the UK, North America, Dubai, and Singapore but also facilitate connections to around 20 cities within India.
Additionally, Air India announced that it will commence operations of its first A350 aircraft on domestic routes starting from January 22. The inaugural flight will take off from Bengaluru to Mumbai. The A350-900 aircraft will feature a three-class cabin configuration with a total of 316 seats, including 28 business class, 24 premium economy, and 264 economy seats, according to CNN report.
Air India plans to invest $400 million to upgrade seats and in-flight entertainment systems, aiming to enhance passenger comfort and experience.
Initially, the A350 aircraft will be deployed on domestic routes for crew familiarisation and regulatory compliance. It will operate flights from Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. Subsequently, the aircraft will be utilised for longer-haul flights to destinations across different continents.
Air India opened bookings for flights operated by the A350 on Monday. The airline’s first A350-900 aircraft arrived in the national capital on December 23.
