P. Balaji, an industry veteran with over three decades of professional wisdom, is scheduled to commence his role at the airline on January 11, 2024. Balaji’s professional journey is remarkable, having honed his skills in diverse sectors, predominantly the telecom and IT. His wide-ranging expertise encompasses regulatory policy, compliance, sales, product management, marketing, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and operations.
Before his transition to Air India, Balaji enjoyed a significant tenure at Vodafone Idea Limited, where he helmed the regulatory and public policy departments. His leadership at Vodafone Idea Limited was instrumental in steering the company through a complex regulatory landscape, a feat that underscores his capabilities.

In his new role at Air India, Balaji will report directly to the airline’s CEO & MD, Campbell Wilson.
