The red list is up and running once again leaving many passengers with cancelled flights or facing almost two weeks in a hotel – due to concerns about a new coronavirus variant.
The Department for Transport has added six locations to the list, despite saying they had no intention of doing so just days earlier.
The countries all sit within Africa, in an area where officials are getting increasingly concerned about a new Covid-19 variant.

The red list is under constant review, and more countries could be added at any time.
The final flights to the sick downgraded locations have been cancelled as the rules come into force at 12pm today (Friday, November 26), less than 24 hours after the announcement was made.
British Airways has cancelled both of their Cape Town flights, which were due to leave Heathrow Airport for South Africa at 6.15pm and 10pm.
