Air traffic between India and United Arab Emirates has started. Flydubai reported that Dubai residents are being allowed to return to the UAE in nine cities in India. The airline said that UAE residents holding valid visas issued by Dubai can fly from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram. At the same time, the flights of UAE residents holding visas issued by Dubai from other cities of India and Pakistan, Nepal and Sri Lanka are suspended till further notice.
Vaccine certificate will be necessary
The UAE announced on 3 August that it would allow its resident visa holders stranded in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria and Uganda to enter the UAE from 5 August. The announcement said that only those resident visa holders who have been vaccinated in the UAE and who have a vaccination certificate issued by the UAE authorities will be allowed to enter the UAE.
Flydubai will give relief to the passengers
During this, special exemptions have been given to certain categories like health workers and students. Flydubai reported that only UAE residents with a valid Dubai-issued visa with GDRFA approval issued on or after August 5 will be allowed to enter Dubai. Flydubai’s expansion in service is expected to ease the journey of a large number of UAE residents and workers stranded in India, who are troubled by the increased fares on this route.
Increased ticket prices new difficulty
After the introduction of flights between India and UAE, the increased ticket prices have become a new problem for the passengers. Travel agents are telling that the ticket prices have increased by 50 percent as compared to earlier. In such a situation, people have to loose their pockets to travel.
