The Bridge International has created a new management consulting practice for insurance product, pricing and underwriting, and has hired Ian Edgell, a former executive at IAG, to lead it. The global consulting firm believes that regulatory interventions and claims inflation, as well as other factors, are putting pressure on pricing and affordability, and that expertise is becoming increasingly difficult to find. The Bridge, whose non-traditional management team consists of practitioners with extensive industry experience, operates across multiple countries, including Australia, New Zealand, the UK and North America. The company has previously assisted the likes of Hollard, IAG and Swiss Re.
