Low-cost carrier IndiGo will soon operate a Boeing 777 aircraft between Delhi and Istanbul. Turkish Technic facilities in Istanbul painted the plane and it also received the full IndiGo livery. Turkish Airlines and IndiGo had been codesharing flights between Istanbul and India and IndiGo had wet-leased Boeing 777s from the Turkish flag carrier. Before joining Turkish Airlines’ fleet, the aircraft operated for Russian charter airline Azur Air. IndiGo is expected to keep the cabin interior used by the Russian operator, which includes seven business and 524 economy class seats. Two additional B777-300ERs will be added with the same configuration so that IndiGo can operate flights between Istanbul and Mumbai.
