VISAKHAPATNAM: Airlines on Tuesday — IndiGo,
Air Asia and
Air India — cancelled services to and from Vizag international airport with many parts of the coast hit by gusty winds and heavy downpours. As many as 23 arrivals and 23 departures of IndiGo were cancelled on account of severe cyclonic storm
Asani. IndiGo cancelled its services for Wednesday as well.
IndiGo and Air Asia had cancelled seven services and diverted others on Monday. Two arrivals and two departures of Air India flights fwere cancelled.
AirAsia cancelled its Delhi-Vizag-Delhi and Bengaluru-Vizag-Bengaluru services.
Airport director
K Srinivasa Rao said all IndiGo flights were cancelled on Tuesday as a precautionary measure.
