Indian airline IndiGo is set to receive a second leased Boeing 777 from Turkish Airlines. Unlike the current wet-leased plane flying in Turkish Airline livery, the new aircraft will be painted in IndiGo colours and offer a higher density configuration, with seven business-class seats and 524 in economy class. The 14-year-old aircraft is expected to be operationalised for flights between Mumbai and Istanbul. IndiGo previously used a Turkish Airlines 777 on its Delhi-Istanbul route. The airline is reportedly also eyeing further long haul flights, including to the US.
