JetBlue Airways has agreed to a $3.6m settlement with flight attendants who claimed that the airline had violated California labour law. Filed in 2015, the flight attendants alleged that they were not paid for all hours worked and had received inaccurate wage statements, and also made claims under California’s Private Attorneys General Act. The act allows individuals to engage in litigation on behalf of the state over labour law violations. The settlement relates solely to the California-based staff involved in the lawsuit.
