In its seven years of operations, Vistara has firmly established itself in Delhi (DEL), calling it its primary hub and launching some of its most ambitious routes from the city. However, lately, another important airport in the country – Mumbai (BOM) – has been receiving much love from the airline as it looks to develop its network further.
Expanding base
Vistara is planning to increase its services out of Mumbai as it eyes several domestic and international routes from the city where yields are better. The airline has expanded its offering out of Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) to more than 50 flights, including 4 to international destinations.

It has also helped us in developing a dense feeder network enabling convenient international connections for our customers.”
As air traffic picks up in a post-pandemic world, Mumbai could feature more prominently in Indian airlines’ network, particularly with two more national-level carriers planning to start operations later this year.
