Mailonline Travel Editor, Ted Thornhill, sets out to compare Jet2.com, the UK’s ‘best’ airline, with Wizz Air, the ‘worst’ airline, according to consumer group Which?. He flew with Wizz Air from London Gatwick to Lyon and returned to Manchester the following day with Jet2.com. Despite expecting a horror show from Wizz Air, he was pleasantly surprised by the slick booking process, ease of navigation on the airline’s website and the attractive prices. Whilst the seat was hard, Ted found the legroom to be ample and the onboard noodle soup a revelation. The Jet2.com flight went smoothly, however, Ted warns of hidden costs, excessive selling of travel insurance and overselling of premium seats, which can leave some passengers disappointed.
