Budget airlines Ryanair and Wizz Air are both recommended as buys by Peel Hunt in its latest research note. Ryanair posted passenger numbers ahead of forecasts in March, with a total of 12.6 million passengers, representing 12.5% YoY growth and a load factor of 93%. Wizz Air, however, operated “slightly less capacity” than anticipated, with passenger volume growth of 72.3%, below expectations of 4.32 million. However, Peel Hunt maintained its buy rating for Wizz Air, citing strong growth and low oil prices. Ryanair’s target price is set at €20, while Wizz Air is set at 3,650p.
