Ryanair and Wizz Air both reported growth in passenger numbers in February, as the travel sector continues its post-Covid-19 recovery. Ryanair saw a 22% increase in passengers to 10.6 million, while its load factor improved to 92% from 86%. Wizz Air carried 3.8 million passengers, a 97% jump compared to the same period last year, with capacity 92% higher at 4.1 million and a load factor of 93.3%. For the rolling 12 months up to February, Ryanair saw a 93% increase in passenger numbers at 167.2 million, while Wizz Air reported a 97% jump to 49.3 million. Ryanair shares were down 0.7% to €14.89 in Dublin, while Wizz Air rose 4.1% to 2,727.46p in London.
