Low-cost airline Wizz Air is under fire again after passengers reported being forced to pay check-in fees at airports after encountering problems with the airline’s website. The complaints come after last year’s declaration by consumer group Which? that Wizz Air was the worst airline in the UK. The carrier was also criticised by the industry regulator. The problems centre on glitches in the checking-in process, meaning passengers were unable to do so online. Wizz Air claims there was no technical issue, and suggests that passengers clear caches, switch devices or try a different browser. However, after passenger reports were highlighted by Guardian Money, Wizz Air issued full refunds.
