Wizz Air, the Hungarian low-cost airline, is launching direct flights between Luxembourg and Bucharest from June, and to Skopje from November. The airport already operates flights to Skopje from Frankfurt Hahn and Brussels Charleroi, and to Bucharest from Charleroi only. In addition, the airline will start flying between Luxembourg and Rome from late July, which will put them in direct competition with Luxair on that route. The company added Ljubljana, Stuttgart and Salzburg to its direct destination list from Skopje and will receive subsidies for operating the routes for at least three years. The flights are available for booking.
