A father of three sent bailiffs to Luton Airport after attempts to receive compensation from Wizz Air for cancelled flights were ignored. Russell Quirk spent £4,500 on flights, hotels and other expenses for a Portugal holiday with his wife and daughters only to learn on the day of departure his flight had been cancelled. While he received a refund for the original flights, the airline didn’t address the additional costs to rearrange travel, Mr Quirk said. Despite county court judgments, bailiffs were sent to the desk at Luton Airport to resolve the issue. A spokesperson for Wizz Air apologised for the mistake.
