The red list for foreign travel no longer exists, and Brits are planning their trips abroad before the winter sets in.
From Monday, November 1, all remaining seven countries were taken off the red list, meaning mandatory quarantine was no longer required.
The red list has been scrapped but the Government has said that the rules could come back into place if they notice any variants of concern.

However, it’s also important to remember the travel rules in place if you are heading abroad this year.

Greece
If you are travelling to Greece from the UK, you will need to have completed a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) before arrival.
The form is required regardless of how you choose to travel to Greece.
You will also need one of the following:
- Proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test, undertaken within the 72 hour period before arrival into Greece; or
- Proof of a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test from an authorised laboratory, undertaken within the 48 hour period before your arrival into Greece; or
- Greece will also accept proof of recovery from COVID-19 for entry purposes. Evidence of a positive COVID-19 PCR test result taken between 30 to 180 days of your travel dates can be used and can be demonstrated via the NHS COVID Pass.

Sweden
The Swedish Government has announced that travellers who can present a UK vaccine certificate are exempt from the ban on entry to Sweden and the COVID-19 test requirement.
There are different rules depending on whether you are fully vaccinated or not.
