The Secretary of National Defense contracted the facial recognition technology of the Vision-Box company to use it in the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA). The details of the contract are a mystery, as they do not appear on the Mexican government’s transparency platform for tenders and purchases.
The new airport for Mexico City will use a facial recognition system to coordinate passenger access to waiting rooms. The system was installed by the Engineering Group of the General Directorate of Engineers of the Ministry of National Defense (Sedena).
