Japan has been recognised for its conservation and sustainability efforts, topping Agoda’s Sustainable Impact Survey 2023, surveying over 13,000 respondents from more than 10 countries. Respondents from all markets placed their respective countries within the top three rankings, with seven out of eleven giving their home country the highest rating. Singapore and South Korea followed Japan on the list. Agoda’s new Eco Deals campaign aims to raise $250,000 for WWF’s conservation initiatives through donations from participating accommodation partners in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and India that showcase the Eco Deals badge on Agoda’s website or app. Agoda will donate a dollar to WWF’s marine and forest conservation initiatives for each booking through the campaign, which runs until 2 September 2023.
