Spanish digital travel company eDreams ODIGEO turned profitable in 2023, following three years of losses due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The firm reported a net profit of €32.4 million for the fiscal year ending in March, in stark contrast to the preceding loss of €43.3 million. Three years of industry standstill in 2020 and 2021 greatly affected the company’s profitability. However, their annual subscription programme, which charges around €55 for access to discounted fares, greatly contributed to the company’s recovery. Subscriber numbers significantly increased to 5.8 million in 2023, a 34% increase from the previous year. eDreams reported it is on course to reach its targets of €180 million in core earnings and 7.25 million subscribers by the end of the fiscal year.
