Some visitors to Norfolk landmarks have left hilariously harsh reviews on Tripadvisor. Thetford Forest drew criticism from one reviewer who labelled it the “worst experience” and “such an unhygienic place”, while Norwich Castle was deemed the “worst castle” compared to other attractions across the country. Cromer Pier also faced criticism, with one visitor calling it “grim” and “pointless planks of wood”. Great Yarmouth’s Golden Mile was deemed to be full of “greasy smelling food” and “run-down shops”, while Broads National Park was criticised for its lack of interesting walks and landmarks beyond “lots of windmills and swamps”. A giant helter-skelter installed inside Norwich Cathedral in 2019 also came under fire from one reviewer, who said the church was trying too hard to be “trendy”.
