Cambodia’s tourism industry witnessed a significant growth in 2022, with a 669% rise in gross revenue compared to the previous year, earning $1.41 billion. The country received 2.28 million international tourists, a rise of 1,058%, according to a Ministry of Tourism report. The report noted that the tourism industry contributed 3.6% to Cambodia’s GDP in 2022, with an average tourist staying for two nights and three days. It also stated that the country is expected to attract four million international visitors in 2023. Cambodia has three world heritage sites and a 450 km pristine coastline stretching across four southwest provinces. Tourism is one of the pillars supporting Cambodia’s economy.
