Once just an average shopping mall called
Jusco Rattanthibet, CPN acquired the property in 2003 and
transformed it into CentralPlaza Rattanathibet, a much more
attractive and modern facility with better shops, a Tops
supermarket,
entertainment, plenty of F&B outlets, as well as other shops
and services.

Now the company plans to
completely upgrade the site once again, this time closing it for
approximately 2 years so that they can make the most of the very large
piece of land and upgrade every side of the business whilst also
introducing new products and revenue streams such as a Go! Hotel and
a Condo Escent.
A sky bridge link to the closest purple line skytrain
station is also planned.
As it stands now, CentralPlaza Rattanathibet is scheduled to close on 31 January 2024.
Rattanathibet Road, Nonthaburi
With rail, boat and road connectivity between the
centre of Bangkok and the suburbs constantly improving,
Rattanathibet Road has changed enormously in recent years, with
dozens of new and very large condominium projects opening and many
more scheduled to break ground.
Such developments have provided affordable places
for Thai residents to buy or rent, whilst also expanding the
choice of places for tourists to stay when visiting the city.
The area is close to Don Mueang Airport
(DMK), Muang Thong Thani, Laksi and Chaeng Wattana, as well as numerous expressways
for those travelling by car and the Chao Phraya River for those
who would prefer to travel by boat.
Travel News Asia will have more on the new
CentralPlaza Rattanathibet development as it progresses.
