A new visa-free policy introduced by China for the nationals of six countries has proven to be a game-changer for the country’s tourism industry. The policy, which allows citizens of France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia to enter China without a visa, has attracted a significant number of visitors, especially in the past month.
According to data published by China’s National Immigration Administration, a total of 214,000 people from these six countries entered China last month, representing a 28.5% increase compared to the previous month. What’s more impressive is that over half of these entries were visa-free, with 118,000 visitors taking advantage of the new policy. This marks a significant boost in tourism from these countries.
