Hong Kong is one of the top destinations where UK travellers spent under their budgets due to the city’s range of affordable options and free attractions, as well as a strong British pound, a study by a corporate travel management firm has found.
British company Good Travel Management on Monday cited a study it released in September showing that Hong Kong was the second-ranked locale where Britons least overspent in relation to their budgets, after the Caribbean island country Barbados.
UK travellers would set aside a daily budget of £108 (US$140) for a Hong Kong trip but actually spent only £42 per day in the city, or £66 less than planned, the study showed.
