Amazon Rainforest, South America
Spread across an area of over 6.7 million sq km, the Amazon Rainforest is the largest tropical rainforest on Earth. The forest system is spread across nine countries, namely Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Suriname, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, French Guiana, and Guyana. The forest is home to over 390 billion trees and around 16,000 species.
