The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is planning to restore the iconic Gateway of India in addition to the civic body’s previous proposal to clear visual obstructions from its surroundings.
A fresh presentation of the plan with details regarding the restoration has been made to Maharashtra Tourism Minister, Aaditya Thackeray. The BMC is looking to ensure that the Gateway of India is visible from a significant distance by clearing out its surroundings.
