With improved air connectivity, travellers can now easily hop on direct flights between major cities in Russia and India, such as Moscow, Delhi and Goa. Aeroflot, Russia’s flag carrier, has announced the reintroduction of direct flights from Moscow to Goa and Delhi.

Direct Flights From Moscow To Goa & Delhi

Aeroflot will operate flights to Goa’s Dabolim International Airport from Moscow and Ekaterinburg, providing convenient access to this famous beach location. The airline is aware of the significant demand for flights to Goa, particularly during the autumn and winter seasons, which are usually popular with Russian tourists.

In addition to the Goa route, Aeroflot will begin direct flights from Moscow to Delhi, improving the connection between the two capitals. This development is consistent with an agreement reached between India and Russia. This development intends to meet the demand for travel and cargo between Russia and India.

Three weekly flights from Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport will begin on September 30 on wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft. These flights will operate on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, giving passengers greater flexibility in their travel arrangements.

Aeroflot will run three weekly flights from Ekaterinburg utilising Boeing 737-800 aircraft on the same timetable as the Moscow flights beginning October 3. This extended air network intends to accommodate passengers from all throughout Russia.

The worldwide air travel business has encountered various obstacles in recent years, most notably the pandemic. Many international lines were suspended due to travel restrictions. However, as things begin to normalise, airlines are gradually resurrecting their old routes in the hopes of boosting tourism.

Every year, thousands of Russian tourists visit Goa, which is famed for its beaches and active nightlife. Similarly, being the capital city, Delhi acts as a centre for business, diplomacy, and tourism. The reintroduction of these flights bodes well for the Indian tourism industry. Russia, on the other hand, is renowned for its vast and untamed wilderness, including the Siberian taiga, Lake Baikal, and the Kamchatka Peninsula.

The move is also emblematic of Russia’s and India’s long-standing ties. Direct flights allow more person-to-person contact, which fosters deeper understanding and collaboration.
