TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Indonesian President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo has stated that the number of foreign tourists entering the country in 2022 will double when compared to 2021. The surge, he said, also happens in other countries as a sign of the recovery after the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This indicates that human connectivity has shown a resurgence,” said the state head at the World Tourism Day event broadcast on the World Tourism Organization’s YouTube channel on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.
