The Nam Ngam public park in Xiengkhuang province, Laos, has been completed and is expected to become a popular tourist attraction. The park covers 17.5 hectares and was built at a cost of over 130 billion kip ($15.7m). The construction began in 2013 and was completed in 2017. The park was built as part of the province’s socio-economic development strategic plan and is expected to be a key feature for the 11th National Games that will be hosted by the province. A handover ceremony took place in the park on 4 July.
