New COVID-19 cases in Saudi Arabia dropped on Thursday below the 300-mark, for the first time since February.
The Health Ministry announced that 290 new covid cases have been reported in the Kingdom, bringing the total number of infections to 543,318, including 3,889 active cases.
The Ministry said that seven new deaths have been reported, raising the total number of fatalities to 8,512. Meanwhile, the number of recoveries in the Kingdom reached 530,917.
Also, the Ministry said that to date, the Kingdom has administered more than 35.161 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine to its residents and citizens.
It said more than 22 million citizens have been inoculated, including more than 13 million persons who received both doses, bringing the overall percentage of fully vaccinated residents to 39 percent.
The ministry renewed its call on the public to register with the Sehhaty app to receive the vaccine, and adhere to the preventive measures and abide by instructions.
