Johannesburg: Rhino poaching in South Africa fell just slightly last year as increased patrols in national parks forced more hunters seeking horns to target provincial parks and private reserves, the government said on Monday.
Overall, 448 rhinoceros were killed across the country, three fewer than in 2021, the environment department reported.
