Ford has committed to investing $4.5bn with partners in Indonesia to advance sustainable nickel production for its electric vehicle production. The Pomala Block HPAL Project will produce up to 120 kilotons of nickel per year, and is expected to launch commercially in 2026. The move comes after Ford’s EV unit reported it would make a $3bn loss this year. Italian beverage company Campari Group plans to spend $161m constructing a second distillery at its Wild Turkey campus in Kentucky, while the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development will extend a €140m ($165m) loan to improve Antalya airport in Turkey.
