Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is issuing a five-year multiple-entry visa for citizens from 180 countries in a bid to attract more tourists to the country. The visa will cost $700 and be issued to tourists who already hold valid visas from the US, UK, Schengen area, Japan or New Zealand upon arrival at an Egyptian airport. Citizens from China, India, Turkey and the Arab Maghreb countries will also be able to obtain visas upon arrival at Egyptian ports. Meanwhile, Iranian and Israeli tourists can enter parts of South Sinai and Hurghada with a visa upon arrival, on condition they first coordinate with travel agencies.
