The largest downhill mountain bike trail in Oklahoma, the Boomtown Trail, has opened in Tulsa’s Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness. The trail drops by about 200 feet in elevation and includes jumps, berms, technical rock lines and other unique features. Two similar trails have already opened, with another two due for opening next month. The improvements should aid the growth of “mountain bike tourism.” Bicycle tourism contributed $1 billion to the state’s economy in 2019.
