Da Nang, a popular tourist destination in Vietnam, recently received its first non-stop flight from Narita, Japan after the pandemic. In 2019, the city welcomed 183,000 Japanese travelers, making Japan an important market for Da Nang’s tourism industry. Since Vietnam reopened its international tourism in March 2022, Da Nang has received 27,000 Japanese travelers. The resumption of the Narita-Da Nang flight is expected to attract more Japanese tourists to the city and encourage Vietnamese tourists to visit Narita. Japan is known for its interest in ecotourism and cultural heritage sites, which Da Nang is well-positioned to offer. The city is also promoting its cultural beauty and people through music products and plans to introduce its images to key and potential markets with a music MV performed by famous foreign artists. Vietnam aims to welcome 8 million foreign travelers in 2023, up from the 3.36 million travelers it hosted in 2022.
