Lung Cung village in the northwestern region of Vietnam is being explored for its tourism potential, particularly its signature trees called “son tra” or “tao meo” which bloom in late March. The village is home to over 200 households and boasts a total area of nearly 60 square kilometres with traditional houses that have roofs made from hundred-year-old wood. Local authorities have been working to improve infrastructure, such as cementing roads, and encouraging community-based tourism for the traditional cultural values of the community. With its natural beauty and tourism potential, Lung Cung village is expected to attract many visitors.
