Travel Lane County has launched a hearing loop accessibility project with hotel and attraction partners to better cater to guests with T-coil-enabled hearing aids and cochlear implants. The program will enable visitors to hear conversations more clearly by channelling the staff’s voice directly into their hearing device. The project will start with hotels and attractions in Lane County, Oregon. Loop Lane County, which is working with Travel Lane County on the program, is hoping to install hearing loops in performing arts venues, the Eugene Airport and more public locations. The project was funded by a $50,000 grant from Travel Oregon.
