Navan, formerly known as TripActions, has enhanced its virtual assistant, Ava, to function as a data analyst for travel administrators and finance managers. Ava can analyze real-time spend data, analyze spend versus travel policy, and predict future spend habits. It can also offer feedback on travel and expense questions, identify savings opportunities, and provide a summary of results in multiple languages. Navan was one of the first travel industry companies to use OpenAI’s ChatGPT APIs when it added the technology to Ava in early February. The company is also developing a conversational business intelligence system that leverages generative AI to give companies tools to unlock data and insights. Ava is currently available to select clients in North America and will roll out to more clients over the coming months.
