If you’re heading to Universal Orlando soon, we’ve got an important update to consider before deciding on your tickets!
When purchasing tickets to Universal Orlando, guests have the option to choose between a one-park ticket that allows entry to either Universal’s Islands of Adventure or Universal Studios Florida in a single day, or a two-park ticket that allows entry into both of the two parks during the same day. But one of the major perks of a two-park ticket will be unavailable in the near future.
With a two-park ticket at Universal Orlando, guests can hop between Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Florida on the same day.
There are a few ways to get between the parks, including walking from the front gate of one to the other. It’s a relatively short walk, that typically takes about 10 minutes.
But for many guests, the most exciting way to travel between the two parks is by taking the Hogwarts Express. The Hogwarts Express travels between King’s Cross Station in the London area of Universal Studios Florida and Hogsmeade Station in Islands of Adventure. Since the two stations are located in separate parks, guests need to have a two-park ticket to ride the Hogwarts Express, even if they plan to immediately hop in line for the other direction to ride the train back.
The Hogwarts Express serves as both a means of transportation and an attraction, with a different experience in each of the two directions. And since the only way to ride it is with a two-park ticket, some guests may opt for the ticket upgrade to make sure they get to experience it.
But if you’re one of those guests, heads up — the Hogwarts Express will be temporarily closed from December 10th through December 16th.
If riding the Hogwarts Express is a major reason — or the only reason — you want to purchase the two-park ticket, be sure to keep this temporary closure in mind when planning your upcoming trip!
We’ll continue to be on the lookout for more news that could impact your vacation planning, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest updates!
