Singapore-based fintech company, Nium, is expanding its partnership with global payments processor, Thredd, to issue virtual cards in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. The virtual card solution by Nium, widely used by travel intermediaries, offers enhanced security and efficiency to pay global travel suppliers while reducing costs. This move comes in anticipation of the global B2B travel transaction volumes projected to hit $1.7 trillion by 2027, with the APAC region driving growth, expecting to reach $480 billion. By integrating Thredd’s APIs into its platform for instantaneous global payments, Nium has successfully expedited transactions to 200 milliseconds when issuing and loading these virtual cards in almost 30 nations. Als, Nium is endorsed by Visa and Mastercard for processing credit, debit, and prepaid card transactions.
