Travel Counsellors has acquired a technology platform and its key development team.
The integration of the Planisto platform is expected to accelerate Manchester-headquartered Travel Counsellors’ technology development plans and focus on the premium travel market by adding functionality to enable its staff to build highly complex travel itineraries and present them intuitively to consumers.
As well as acquiring the Planisto platform and associated IP, the creators behind the platform will join Travel Counsellors as part of the deal, further strengthening the company’s senior technology talent and team in the Benelux region.
The platform has been developed over several years by Belgian-headquartered B2B travel technology company EURAM.
