The Central Government has set a target of 14 million foreign tourists to visit Indonesia in 2024. Half, or around 7 million, are expected to visit Bali.
The head of Bali’s Provincial Tourism Service, Tjok Bagus Pemayun, is confident that Bali will achieve 7 million foreign visitors in 2024 following the strong performance of 2023 when 5 million overseas tourists came to Bali.
The projections of 7 million foreign tourist arrivals in Bali in 2024 represent a 40% increase from 2023 to 2024.
Data from the Provincial Tourist Authorities valid through 26 December 2023 recorded 5,232,751 foreign visitors. Foreign arrivals to Bali are dominated by Australians (25%), followed by Indians, Mainland Chinese, United Kingdom residents, USA, South Koreans, French, Singaporeans, Germans, and Malaysians.
Pemayun affirmed that Bali remains a favorite destination for global travelers.
