EasyJet has cancelled all flights to Hurghada for the remainder of June and July due to a “number of operational issues”.
The airline, which apologised for the cancellations, is contacting customers to inform them of the move and to offer a voucher or refund.
A spokesperson said the carrier is operating up to 1,700 flights carrying up to a quarter of a million customers a day.
“There are industry wide operational issues that are impacting airlines at the moment, which means we have made a number of pre-emptive cancellations,” they added. “This includes all flights to Hurghada from the UK for the remainder of June and July.
