Yukon’s tourism industry is set to receive a significant financial boost to support its expansion and diversification, according to MP Dr. Brendan Hanley. Speaking on behalf of the Honourable Dan Vandal, Minister of Northern Affairs, PrairiesCan, and CanNor, Dr. Hanley announced an investment by the Canadian Government of nearly $800,000 in the sector. The aim is to boost the local economy by attracting increasing numbers of visitors from both within Canada and internationally. The focus will be on businesses and organizations offering unique experiences that engage locals and tourists alike, and which, in turn, will benefit other businesses and attractions in the region.
