Mr Martin said the issue was that SeaRoad would need to be involved in the federal goverment’s Bass Strait Passenger Vehicle Equalisation Scheme, which subsidises the Spirit of Tasmania’s crossings, but does not currently allow for vehicles to be transported without their driver.
