Qantas’ chief marketer says that while COVID-19 left the airline pretty close to the bottom of the pile in terms of winners and losers, the Australian travel industry is pretty well placed.
Speaking on a panel with fellow industry heavyweights Phillipa Harrison (managing director, Tourism Australia), Sarina Bratton (APAC chair, Ponant) and Chris Hall (group managing director, APH Group) at Nine’s State of the Nation event yesterday, Jo Boundy told the audience that the biggest challenge the industry faced was erratic border closures.
