Preliminary estimates from the coastal regions suggest this festive season may have been a bumper period for the tourism sector.
While statistics for the period have not yet been finalised, the Western Cape tourism sector has been left feeling optimistic by a busy season. KwaZulu-Natal fared slightly worse, however, with popular tourist destinations such as Durban and Umhlanga seeing a drop in visitors.Â
