Industry Thanks Outgoing Tourism WA MD

Following the announcement today of the resignation of the Managing Director of tourism WA, Carolyn Turnbull, tourism Council WA has extended its thanks to her for her contribution to the tourism industry.

tourism Council WA CEO Evan Hall said Carolyn had made a significant contribution to the tourism industry during the difficult post-COVID recovery period.

“I thank Carolyn for her dedication and hard work during her tenure as Managing Director, and particularly commend her on the launch of the Walking on a Dream campaign and driving the return of the interstate market.”

Mr Hall said with WA’s international recovery more than 20 per cent behind pre-COVID levels, it was critical that the next Managing Director had commercial tourism experience in aviation or tourism marketing to be able to continue pursuing the recovery of international visitation.
